Wollongong NYE Lighting – December 2016

Commemorating the Illawarra’s Bicentenary of European settlement, Wollongong City Council wanted to celebrate New Year’s Eve in style. In addition to the annual fireworks display at Belmore Basin, we designed a light show spanning the entirety of Belmore Basin. From the breakwater, to the lighthouse and surrounding parkland, we assisted Pro Sound and Lighting in providing a fully tailored package involving audio, video and lighting for the evening.

Visible from suburbs over 10 kilometres away, the equipment involved included Clay Packy Sharpies, Phantos Beams, flame machines and a large, trailer mounted LED Screen. Driven by Chamsys MagicQ and a Jands Vista S1, a pre-programmed light show was time-coded to match the fireworks display and audio.
