Ubiquiti Network Installation – May 2017

Audio, Visual and Computing Technologies Wollongong had proposed a solution to Mt Keira Scout Camp’s ongoing issue of unstable internet and poor availability of various networks including ADSL, NBN Fibre and Wireless. The solution involved utilising NBN’s Skymuster wide area network, along with a Ubiquiti local area network, providing the camp site with access to the internet for conferences and training.

We oversaw the project from start to finish, as well as the implementation of the Ubiquiti local area network.  The network includes two point-to-point wireless links, a managed wireless network and UniFi cloud management, providing remote management for the end user. Using voucher based authentication, Mt Keira Scout Camp can now also provide internet to the Scouting community and enhance both training and conferencing abilities.
